Slam!Gallen is a spoken word association, located in St.Gallen and organizes poetry slams in east-south Switzerland. The events usually occur in one of St.Gallens many bars, clubs or concert locations.
Poetry Slam is a poetry competition. Poets share the stage in order to present their texts to the audience as excitingly, as rousingly, as loudly and quickly as necessary and as empathetically and sweetly as possible.
Briefing
With an interactive concept, website redesign and social media animations, I re-conceived Slam!Gallen's digital presence on the web and social media. This fictional project was my thesis to complete my interactive media design apprenticeship. The aim was to show and reflect the art of spoken word in SlamGallen's website and their social media advertisements through using a digital concept.

Mobile and desktop website
The home site includes poetry slams of past events in the form of their titles and the effect, that when hovered the user is able to interact with the work through hearing the poets voice, reciting their performance. Throughout the website, I made sure to design it with the priorities of the user in mind.
For instance, most people using the website would want to buy a ticket for the next event, which is why I ensured, that they would find tickets as a button in the menu included and easily accessible.

The animated videos teased Slam!Gallen's next events through showing the poets, who would perform. The intro with the logo animation is used in every video. I created the animation to be used as instagram post and story.
